In this session we will discuss the evolution of metered dose inhaler recycling within the UK, and how a number of key organisations within the pharmaceutical industry have worked with the waste management industry to allow people to dispose of and recycle empty, unwanted or out of date inhalers. We’ll discuss how early investment has evolved into the development of pilot schemes, and the Circularity in Primary Pharmaceutical Packaging Accelerator’s (CiPPPA) ambition to develop a nationwide take-back scheme.
As part of this session, our expert panel will share insights, challenges, and what’s next for making inhaler recycling a reality.
