Information

In the pursuit of enhanced sustainability in healthcare, innovative solutions are crucial to minimizing environmental impact without compromising product safety or quality.

This presentation explains a progressive approach to reducing material usage in the production of IV containers. A comparative analysis was conducted between traditional glass bottles, standard blow-fill-seal (BFS) bottles, conventional IV bags, and a novel IV bag design utilizing a film that is 40% thinner. Key quality parameters of the IV bags—such as durability, were maintained despite the reduction in material thickness.

The optimized design results in significantly lower raw material consumption and a considerable decrease in medical waste volume. These advancements are enabled by the integration of refined manufacturing processes, precision-engineered tools, and advanced machine modules. The findings underline the potential of technical innovation to drive sustainability in medical packaging while maintaining high standards of performance and patient safety.
