Abstract
The pharmaceutical industry is navigating its most turbulent geopolitical landscape in decades. Diverging US–EU policies, pricing pressures, supply-chain fragmentation, and the rise of direct-to-consumer healthcare models are reshaping how medicines and medical devices are developed, packaged, and delivered.
Innovation is shifting beyond the drug molecule toward integrated combination products and delivery systems that improve adherence, usability, and outcomes. Developing these patient-centric solutions requires close collaboration across formulation, device engineering, packaging, manufacturing, and regulatory functions, while growing geopolitical fragmentation is increasing pressure on supply-chain resilience, regional manufacturing, and regulatory alignment.
This talk will explore how strategic collaboration between pharmaceutical companies and device and packaging CDMOs can accelerate development, strengthen supply-chain resilience, and ensure regulatory confidence across regions with increasingly divergent requirements. Using real-world insights from Sanner’s global work in medical devices, combination products, and drug-delivery systems, we will discuss practical strategies for building longterm partnerships that support speed, flexibility, and market access.
