- Giuseppina Salzano, Ph.D., is an R&D leader with over 15 years of experience in drug development and advanced injectable formulations. Since 2020, she leads the Formulation and Analytical Development Laboratory at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Monza, Italy, overseeing scientific strategy, operational excellence, and multidisciplinary teams. Dr. Salzano graduated in Pharmacy in 2007 and specialized in Hospital Pharmacy in 2010 at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2014 at Northeastern University, Boston (USA), where she continued as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. She subsequently joined CNRS in Paris, France, as a Marie Curie Experienced Researcher within the European ITN Cyclon Hit project (2016-1017), and later became Head of Formulation at the biotech company Eligo Bioscience (2017-2020 Paris). Her career across Italy, France, and the United States spans academia and industry, leading innovative programs in complex drug products and biologics, from early development to process optimization and technology transfer for clinical manufacturing. She is author of numerous peer-reviewed publications (27 h-index) and co-inventor of international patents.
