- Michael Dekner, DI, MA, is a biopharma innovation leader with over 20 years of experience. As former Head of Process Sciences at Shire, Associate Director for innovation and external collaboration at Takeda he led a PAT (Process Analytical Technology) program, has driven cross-functional collaboration, initiated and coordinated collaborations with start-up and academia. Although he does not consider himself an expert in lyophilization he is a frequent speaker at conferences like the Pharmaceutical Lyophilization Summit. Michael combines deep technical expertise with a passion for innovation. His background includes academic lecturing and degrees in biotechnology and knowledge management.
