Abstract
The RecyClass initiative and its Pharma Packaging Task Force are advancing a unified, science‑based approach to recyclable pharmaceutical packaging. With the PPWR setting a 2030 recyclability requirement for certain blister formats, the regulatory landscape is rapidly reshaping material and design choices.
RecyClass provide a clear view of how monomaterial blisters structures are currently sorted and processed in real recycling environments, highlighting both technical progress and remaining limitations. Achieving scalable, high‑quality recycling by 2035 will depend on strengthened collaboration across the value chain and accelerated innovation in recyclable monomaterial solutions.
