- Jean‑Emile Potaufeux is a Technical Manager at Plastics Recyclers Europe, fully dedicated to the RecyClass initiative. With an engineering background in Polymer Chemistry from the European School of Chemistry, Polymer and Materials (ECPM) and PhDs in Polymer Science and Polymer Mechanics from the University of Mons and University Polytechnique des Hauts-de-France respectively, he brings deep technical expertise to the advancement of plastic packaging recyclability. Since joining RecyClass in 2021, he has coordinated the polyolefin (PO) films and PET packaging Technical Committees, and more recently the new Pharmaceutical Packaging TF. He has overseen multiple recyclability test campaigns that allow to deliver fact-based and industry‑wide Design for Recycling guidelines, supporting the transition toward circular packaging solutions.
